OMU Administration Meets with Student Quality Commission to Address Concerns

Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın, along with Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz and Rector’s Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Şendurur, met with members of the Student Quality Commission to discuss student concerns and proposals for improvement.

Student Demands Addressed, Solutions Proposed

The meeting, held in the Senate Hall, began with a presentation by Student Quality Commission Advisory Board Chairman Dr. Lecturer Burak Akyüz. Students shared their concerns, particularly about transportation, meal services, and technical facilities, which directly affect student life.

Commission members provided feedback on the university’s current situation and suggested improvements in education and social facilities.

Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın emphasized the university's commitment to a student-focused management approach, stating that they will continue working to enhance student satisfaction.

Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz also assured students that the university administration will consider their expectations and take solution-oriented steps.

At the end of the meeting, it was announced that the proposed suggestions would be reviewed and shared with the relevant departments to improve the student experience.
