Rector Aydın Assesses Academic and Infrastructure Needs at OMU’s Veterinary and Agriculture Faculties

Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın continues her faculty visits within the university. As part of this initiative, she visited the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Agriculture, where she met with academic and administrative staff to discuss the current status of the faculties, existing challenges, and potential solutions.

Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ayşe Pınar Sumer and Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz, University Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erhan Burak Pancar, Faculty of Agriculture Dean Prof. Dr. Muharrem Özcan, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tütüncü, as well as faculty members, administrative staff, and students attended the visit.

Discussion on Faculty Needs and Development Plans

During the visit, the requests and concerns of the faculties were addressed, covering topics such as education processes, infrastructure deficiencies, and academic studies. Faculty members shared their views on necessary support and improvements, while Rector Aydın assured that the university administration would take these demands into consideration.

Highlighting the importance of enhancing academic success and improving the educational environment for students, Rector Aydın stated:

"We prioritize these visits to assess the needs of each faculty on-site and to develop solutions. We will continue our efforts to enhance education quality, support research and development activities, and provide better opportunities for our students."

Visit to OMU Animal Hospital

Following the faculty visits, Rector Aydın also toured OMU Animal Hospital, where she received updates on its current status, services, and ongoing projects. Emphasizing the importance of the hospital in the field of veterinary medicine, she discussed its role in both education and animal healthcare.
