Ziya Selçuk, Minister of National Education, who came to Samsun for a series of visits and activities, was welcomed by Prof. Sait Bilgiç, Rector of Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU), and Top Management Officials.

Minister Ziya Selçuk participated in the opening ceremony of "the 13th International Robot Competition" held in Yaşar Doğu Sports Hall in Tekkeköy. Then he visited OMU Rector's Office together with Osman Kaymak, Governor of Samsun, officials of the ministry and the provincial protocol.

During his visit to the rector's office, Minister Selçuk first communicated his feelings and thoughts on the university by signing the book of honor. Expressing his pleasure for being in Samsun and at OMU, Minister Selçuk thanked Rector Bilgiç for their hospitality and kindness.

Rector Bilgiç stated that they were honored to welcome the Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk in Samsun and at the University. Rector Bilgiç also gave information to Minister Selçuk on the educational vision and mission of OMU, the projects and future objectives of the institution.

At the end of the visit, Rector Bilgiç presented a gift to the Minister Selçuk as a memory of his visit.
