Prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, the Probation Services Law No. 5402, and relevant regulations, the protocol aims to support the academic and professional development of psychologists, sociologists, social workers, and teachers working at the Samsun Probation Directorate. As part of this collaboration, the OMU Graduate Education Institute will facilitate graduate programs, including thesis-based and non-thesis master's degrees as well as doctoral studies, for the relevant personnel.
The partnership between Ondokuz Mayıs University and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office seeks to enhance public trust in the justice system and mitigate the adverse effects of criminal activities. This protocol also aims to enable personnel, whose professional development will be supported, to provide more effective and efficient services.
With this protocol, probation services in Samsun are expected to be strengthened on an academic foundation. Personnel participating in the program are anticipated to implement more impactful and successful practices by applying the knowledge they acquire during their education.
