OMU Foundation School Students Are Going to Europe

The project called “We are Doing STEAM Activities Together” prepared by OMU Foundation School Secondary graders within the scope of Erasmus+ inter-school exchange partnerships (KA229) took its place among 82 projects that are eligible to receive a grant.

OMU Foundation School, the only school in Samsun to be entitled to get a grant by the Turkish National Agency, has integrated art into the application of STEAM, which is a kind of teaching model combining four important disciplines such as science, technology, engineering and mathematics with the Erasmus+ project.

OMU Foundation School Management stated that the project named “We are Doing STEAM Activities Together” aiming at raising individuals who are competent in all these areas provides students with the opportunity to look for new solutions in dealing with the problems they may face in their daily lives. The students of OMU Foundation School will go to Portugal, Poland, Estonia and Romania between 2020-2022 with a budget of 159,587 euros.
