As part of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day celebrations, Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı and Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın visited the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Unit of OMU Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
During the visit, various gifts were presented to the children receiving treatment. Governor Tavlı and Rector Aydın spent time with the young patients, sharing the joy of the holiday together. They also conversed with the families, offering messages of encouragement and support.
The event was also attended by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ayşe Pınar Sumer and Prof. Dr. Çetin Kurnaz, OMU Secretary General Prof. Dr. Erhan Burak Pancar, Chief Physician of the Faculty of Medicine Hospital Prof. Dr. Ünsal Özgen, Samsun Provincial Director of National Education Dr. Murat Ağar, and hospital administrators.
The visit served as a source of morale for the children and also held special significance for their families and the healthcare staff.
Following the hospital visit, Governor Orhan Tavlı also paid a visit to Rector Prof. Dr. Fatma Aydın at her office.
